 10ft x 23 3/4" x 3 1/4" for 96 litres

7ft Hydro Pin for Bevan

7ft x 22 1/2" x 2 3/4" for 50 litres
6oz bottom and 6oz top with 3/4 6oz patch

Hi Grant,

"Yes like the new board. It has a beautiful sense of glide to it. Easy paddler. Went to Rainbow-greeny and also to d bah. Just flies when you set the rail, high lines, power carves, foamball bounces. Got quite a few backdoor sections at dbah. It was about waist high and bigger. Walking up and down the board a bit , and it is quite throw aroundable."

6ft 6" tri plane hull for Byron Bay Surf Festival

This is turning out to be a sweet little board. With 3mm skins and only 2 x 5mm rail laminates , I will have to decide how I finish it , lanolin , varnish or 4oz glass job.

Jordan's HSC project

Young Jordan Reynolds wanted to do something different for his HSC, and so with his love of surfing he decided to test himself out with building a board. It is Paulownia bagged over EPS and he has done a great job. Here is his project ...

It has been great to help out a young guy who wants to test himself and achieve something like this. And the result is first class. I am sure he has started on a journey that will keep him busy for a while now.

7ft Hydro Simmons on the go.

I am on the home straight with getting the rails on this 7ft x 24" Hydro Simmons.

2 for Will

Will is a carpenter from Pacific Palms NSW and loves his surfing and after talking to me a t last years Byron Bay Surf Festival he wanted to build a couple of boards. So I designed them for him to his brief and then gothe blanks custom hot wired out of block foam for him. Had them cut on the AKU machine and then glued the first 3mm rail band / parabolic stringers on.This holds the rocker and sets it all up for him.
I have the Paulownia milled for him to bag the skins and laminate the rails himself. So I just need to pack it all up and send it off to him.

10 foot Hydro Simmons

 10ft x 24" x 3 1/4" rocket red glass job by Peter "Mo"
One continuous concave nose to tail , nice little rolled shoulders in the nose with that concave through the middle. These shoulders lead into a chine that softens the rail to where it all smooths out in the middle of the board before rolling into rail chines that get more angle and flow out through the tail.

The fins sit up on the chines with the flow through the middle of the board.

The Italian connection

This is Andrea Campioni from Italy surfing at a spot called Bonzai which is in Santa Marinella , just to the North of Rome. Andrea bought one of my simmons in Byron and took it back to Italy where he has enjoyed riding it when ever he can. Certainly looks like he is having fun here.
