I had a ride on a DVS Glider down at Byron over the Christmas break and loved it. So I designed one up in AKU. Got Burfords to glue up the 12ft 3" blank with a Cedar and Paulownia T band stringer. Then I thought why not get Dick Van Straalan to hand shape it for me. Dick was onto it. Big job hand shaping a 12 foot blank. It filled his shaping bay. He used a Mike Diffenderfer template he has hidden away. I just said to Dick do whatever you like. Well it looked like a great outline and at 11ft x 26" x 3 1/2" you won't miss it. Looking forward to Peter Mo finishing the glassing.
